• PROSIM allows to manage and coordinate different phases of production, but for build a ship, it’s very difficult because there is an important number of production steps.

• The other difficulty comes from the conditioning plant of these new fast ferries, this particularity needs more resources and more precision in management because it utilizes a lot of subcontracts.

• One firm is in charge of design activities concerning the car decks plant, but this firm lets out on contract the making of peculiar activities : this involves an important number of information and material flows throughout different industries to the ship-owner, and it’s difficult to collect and manage all data about that.
