Abstract:
This project represents an innovative approach for the Italian naval shipyard in the design and construction of new warship: this is formally known as the Total Ship Design approach and it is based on the Integrated Design of the main components of the whole Warship, carrying out the subsystems requirement on the overall Operative Effectiveness moreover than on the single subsystem performance.
This project comprises a significant number of legacy simulations, which have been integrated using High Level Architecture standard. The HLA architecture was chosen for VISION because it provides more flexibility than DIS.
