Abstract:
This paper presents general information about the dynamic training system for Polish Air Force and Air Defense called “TAMIZA”. The system is dedicated to provide the troops with dynamic training, to improve their skills on the real combat posts. It provides both autonomous and complex level arrangement of training. The system imitates a battlefield situation both radar and visual. Primary functions of system include: capability to generate unlimited number of exercise scenarios, simulation of airborne objects(aircrafts, missiles, meteorological phenomena, active and passive means of jamming), simulation of warfare processes (aircraft command and control, missile guidance, combat activities of radar-reconnaissance posts, Ground Based Air Defense), simulations of radar systems (radio range-finders, radio altimeters, 3 coordinate radars, missile homing stations) and radio jamming transmitters. The system is closely connected with the pieces of real military equipment which is
being used by Polish Air Force and Air Defense. It is also being used as testing and validation support for developed command and control systems. Due to a strong integration with the military equipment the system meets requirements of the hard real time what has been achieved by using of Real Time Operating System QNX 4.25.
It was planned the developing four types training simulation systems:
- Simulators for Radar Reconnaissance Troops (SRRT),
- Simulators for Ground Based Air Defense (SGBAD),
- Simulators for Air Force (including the trainings for pilots, interception system crew, air base crew and air traffic controllers) (SAF);
- Simulators of Electronic Warfare (SEW).
The Simulators for Radar Reconnaissance Troops have been manufactured and introduced into service. The Simulators for Ground Based Air Defense have been prepared and they are still being introduced into service. Another two simulators are being planned to elaborate nowadays.
