JavaHASE: A Web-based simulation environment

Submitting Author: Dr. Frederic Mallet

Abstract:
HASE is a design and simulation environment that allows for rapid development and exploration of computer architectures at multiple levels of abstraction. The great flexibility of the graphical display has enabled the creation of models (Tomasulo's algorithm, DLX architecture, etc.) which have proved to be more useful to many users than the environment itself. As a response to the GRID initiative, which aims at providing mechanisms to share data and resources amongst
communities, two different ways of exporting these simulation models through the Internet have been investigated. This paper presents these two solutions for Web-based simulation of HASE models.
